Afro Universal: A Night for Aziz
For anyone that has ever visited the Main Office of the ADC and its Fine Art Gallery, you have undoubtedly experienced the beautiful work of local artist, Abdulasis “Aziz“ Osman. On Thursday, December 15th, ADC opened its doors in dedication to one of the most generous contributors of this gallery. With a beautiful celebration of music, food, and stimulating conversation, we honored Aziz through an exhibition devoted to his eclectic paintings and colorful terracotta sculptures on display.
This was a wonderful night for all, as Aziz discussed his work, inspiration, and love of art.
The African Development Center wishes to thank all that came out to thank Aziz for his craft and contribution to the art life of this community. A special thanks also goes out to Mari Harris, who provided the beautiful music of the piano throughout the evening.
If you are interested in utilizing this wonderful space at ADC, please give us a call. Evenings like this illustrate just how versatile this vibrant and inviting meeting center can be. Give ADC a call at 612-333-4772 or 1-877-232-4775 to reserve the Meridel LeSueur Conference Room for a community meeting, seminar or celebration such as this one for Aziz.
Please enjoy the photos (and video to follow) of the evening, and we look forward to seeing you all again for the next event!!
