ADC is searching for an Emerging Markets Manager to direct the ADC office in Willmar.
ADC has been growing to serve pan-African immigrants and refugees from not only the eleven-county metro area of the Twin Cities, but also throughout the state in such cities as: St. Cloud, Owatonna, Rochester, Willmar, Marshall, Mankato, and Faribault.
We are currently seeking an individual to join ADC, to help support and manage our emerging markets by serving our clients and their families in the Willmar and Central Minnesota areas. This is a full-time position that will be housed in our new Willmar office.
You will be responsible for helping to expand ADC services in targeted Minnesota communities outside of the Twin Cities area by connecting with local community development corporations (CDC’s) and other community agencies to offer business development, financial literacy and homeownership services to the African community.
Key Accountabilities may include the following:
• Research, identify, contact and develop professional relationships with Community Development Corporations, Chambers of Commerce and other agencies in target areas whose missions complement the mission of ADC.
• Educate and organize African communities to understand and connect with local agencies for business ownership, financial literacy and homeownership services.
• Develops extensive, solid network of professional contacts throughout the target business communities as a resource for clients, to include: bankers, lawyers, accountants, realtors.
• Represent ADC at community development meetings and other organizations or institutions requesting information on ADC’s services, or where ADC’s visibility could be beneficial to the community.
• Act as community spokesperson to implement ADC’s programs and promote the organization outside of the Twin Cities.
• Work in conjunction with other members of ADC to help plan, organize and facilitate education and training programs.
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in finance, banking, marketing or related field with 5+ years of experience in community and organizational engagement, business development, housing, consulting or financial areas. Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to prioritize and plan work activities are also required. This position is will include frequent travel throughout the greater Minnesota area; a reliable vehicle will also be required.
