ADC Business Breakfast Roundtable
The ADC Business Breakfast Roundtable was developed in early 2010 to better facilitate dialogue in our community and connect people who otherwise may not cross paths, and to increase knowledge of institutions, systems, laws, tools, etc. Since its inception, the roundtable has been a great success, drawing together people from all backgrounds and touching on a wide-range of topics.
One series explored social media and provided participants with tools they could use in an effort to promote digital literacy. Another series brought in state demographer Tom Gillaspy who shared crucial information on trends and changes in the state in terms of both the economy and demographics. Tom led a highly engaging conversation on the global, national, and local economic situation.
ADC hopes these meetings will offer a space for local, small business owners to advance their knowledge of critical issues impacting prospective and existing business owners, as well as deepening the networks and contacts they have in the community. The ADC Business Breakfast Roundtable is sponsored by the Surdna Foundation.
The breakfast roundtable series will occur on the third Thursday of each month from 7:30 – 9:00 a.m. The first half hour is usually spent networking and the subsequent hour is devoted to training and meeting. Prospective topics include engaging with local business chambers and legislators, navigating around zoning issues, best practices in accounting and marketing, exploring transportation solutions, working with business councils and associations, and timely issues that may arise.
The idea is to offer a breadth of critical topics that will enable our clients and community members to develop and/or maintain a competitive edge in the area. Businesses do not exist in a vacuum; therefore, it becomes critical to get savvy with networking and collaborative efforts. Please join us on the third Thursday of each month for an engaging conversation and company!
