African Development Center

We started off the new year with a very interesting and informational presentation from Russell D. Williams, the Vice President of Professional Services at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview. Mr Williams focused the discussion on the exciting new Riverside development that is the Amplatz Children’s Hospital.

This new state-of-the-art facility replaces the previous “hospital within a hospital” configuration, with a building completely dedicated to the work and particular needs of children and their well-being.

Along with general information and stunning visuals of this new facility, this presentation gave the attending members of the surrounding community an intimate understanding of how the $175 million addition will affect the neighborhood and local business.
