Jawahir Mohamed is ADC's Program Assistant and Community Development Specialist. She has spent the prior three years working in the nonprofit sector as a career counselor. She also started her own organization called Sisterhood Org. in Southeast Minnesota focused on assisting young girls with networking, Islamic studies and academic tutoring. Jawahir is a first generation Somali American who was educated at Minnesota State University, Mankato earning a Bachelor of Science in Economics and a minor in business management. Her passions include reading, poetry and spending time with family and friends.
