Buying a home may be the greatest investment you will ever make. As a nonprofit community advocate, ADC is here to enable you to make educated, confident financial choices. ADC offers services focused on the African immigrant and refugee community in Minnesota. But our very successful first-time homebuyer workshops are open to everyone!

ADC has adapted leading first-time homebuyer education programs to suit the cultural needs of our clients. ADC workshops are certified through the Home Stretch program of the Minnesota Home Ownership Center and provided statewide in partnership with local government agencies and nonprofit community developers.
Statewide services offered in the following communities: Twin Cities metro, St. Cloud, Rochester, Owatonna, Faribault, Mankato, Willmar and Marshall.
Forms for Buying a Home
Your ADC advisor will direct you to fill out certain application forms in order to register for classes, complete credit checks, etc. You will find these forms below (on mobile) or to the right (on desktop).
Once you’ve clicked the appropriate forms and downloaded them to your computer, you can open the file and type in as much of the requested information as possible. Then SAVE the file and email it back to your advisor. Later, when the forms are complete, you will sign them with your ADC advisor.
After you have registered for Homestretch class on this website, you may fill out the Download Homestretch Registration Inteake form (below or to the right) and bring it with you to the workshop otherwise you will fill it out right before the workshop starts.
Fees: A $40 fee will be charged for the Minneapolis Homestretch Workshop and a $25 fee for the workshop in ADC’s Greater Minnesota locations.
Fee Waiver: Fees for the Homestretch workshop will be waived for clients who have been involved with our long-term pre-purchase counseling.
