There was much to celebrate at ADC’s 1st Anniversary gathering. Located at the beautiful Norway House on Franklin Avenue in south Minneapolis, the tables were full, the food was splendid, and we were graced by speeches from many long-time allies, including several Minneapolis and Minnesota public officials. The keynote speech was delivered by Tanzanian Ambassador to the US Elsie Sia Kanza, who was preceded at the podium by Somali Ambassador to the US Hassan Abdi. Spirits were high and we were entertained by, and got to dance with, Somali music star Dalman Yare and the local Innocent Reggae Band. You are welcome to take a look at the festivities.
